Always wanted to know what it feels like to float above the water? With an electric eFoil, you surf silently and effortlessly over the water. And good news: at FuturWave, you can test eFoils extensively in Belgium and the Netherlands - at existing locations or at a place of your choice.
Why test eFoil?
An eFoil is a technical feat of innovation. It looks like surfing, but with an underwater wing and an electric motor propelling you. It feels like flying - and sometimes you want to experience that for yourself first.

Our favourite test locations
We like variety, but by now we have a few favourite spots built up:
- Roermond (NL) - Maasplassen, perfect bay, ideal for beginners (our favourite)
- Almere (NL) - Markermeer and ijmeer, large area
- Maaseik (BE) - Meuse, may be a bit busier with water sports
- Kinrooi (BE) - Marina surroundings, wide cruising area
- Mol (BE) - Canal environment & ponds
Testing possible anywhere - including your location
The beauty of eFoiling is that you only need calm water. That is why we are flexible, besides, we also like to discover new places. Do you live elsewhere in Belgium or the Netherlands? Let us know - we are happy to help find a suitable venue. Think about:

- recreational lakes
- quiet river areas

What can you expect?
At a test event, we provide:
- full equipment (eFoil, helmet, life jacket and possibly a wetsuit)
- session lasts ± 1 hour
- brief explanation & guidance
- safe conditions
- a fun and relaxed atmosphere 🤙🏼
You don't need any experience - just some sense of adventure.
Important rules
- for higher speeds (+20km/h), a boating licence may be required
- the board can be set at lower speeds for beginners or regulations
- no rental, but a test session under supervised supervision
- participation at your own risk; FuturWave is not liable for any injury, damage or other consequences
- a life jacket is mandatory
